Book Club Pod Episode 5

Welcome to the fifth episode of Book Club Pod! It’s autumn and we gather together to hear how the long, hot summer was for all our contributors. The conversation flows around a multitude of topics as ever however we broadly cover the theme of achieving personal milestones.

We welcome our second special guest, Helen Joy, who joined us to provide her rich design knowledge background. Thank you, Helen. And don’t fear, Jess will be back soon as she’s been very busy speaking all around the world recently 🙂

Thanks to the Ludorati Cafe in Nottingham for letting us record in their excellent gaming cafe again.

Book Club Pod Episode 4

Welcome to a very special fourth episode of Book Club Pod. This episode is a ‘feature-length’ discussion all about children’s books. We welcome Katharine Childs who is our first special guest on the show.

Thanks again to the Ludorati Cafe in Nottingham for allowing us to record there again.

The discussion started with the books we brought along but as a result of the lively conversation we covered topics like how they can present positive role models, how to encourage children to read more and books encouraging self worth. What are your favourite children’s books?

This episode features an in depth discussion about the end of things.

We are very thankful to the team of the Ludorati Cafe in Nottingham for allowing us to record there. It’s a fantastic space to explore board games and their cafe which supplied us with tasty coffee.

This time we talk about endings in detail, the ‘death of things’, being happier, reading on a plane, and lists of lists.

Twine Radio 4 – Tech Nottingham

I’m so happy I managed to find some time to catch up with Andrew & Emma Seward, Directors of Tech Nottingham. After all it was at the Nottingham Tech Christmas Party in 2015 that I got the idea for this podcast.

In Episode 4, I speak to them about how Tech Nottingham started, more detail about Hack24 & their plans for the future of community based events, support for individuals, companies and students and lots more.

My thanks again to them for talking with me as I had a lot of fun recording it. I hope you enjoy it.
